Errors in vCOps

  1. Login as root
  2. Run “./setdate.sh” command *** Remove the quotes ***
  3. Run “vcops-admin restart” command *** Remove the quotes ***
  4. Wait for services to start
  5. Proceed to the next step, Login as Admin

*** The web server is not yet available. You will be redirected when service is available. ***

From the ControlCenter Desktop

  1. Open the Start Menu
  2. Open Putty
  3. Click Open (make sure the IP address listed is  vC Ops vSphere UI)
  4. Login as root
  5. Run “su admin” command *** Remove the quotes ***
  6. Run “vcops-admin restart” command *** Remove the quotes ***
  7. Wait for services to start
  8. Proceed to the next step, Login as Admin

*** If you received a port 22: connection error during “vcops-admin restart” command. ***

From the same Putty session

  1. Run “vcops-admin repair –ipaddress  vC Ops vSphere UI” command *** Remove the quotes ***
  2. Wait for services to start
  3. Proceed to the next step, Login as Admin
